Follow these step to add email account with IMAP or POP3 to the mail app on iPhone.
Step 1: Open Settings on iPhone and select Accounts & Passwords.
Step 2: Select Add Account
Step 3: Select Other as account type
Step 4: Select Add Mail Account
Step 5: Enter account details
- Name: this will be visible as the sender.
- Email: the address you want to add.
- Password: you use it to log in to Webmail.
- Description: a name for the account on your device. e.g: One-Example
Tap Next to continue.
Step 6: Choose IMAP or POP3 as account type.
Step 7: Enter server settings.
Under Incoming server:
- Host name: Incoming Server Address e.g imap.one.com
- User name: email account
- Password: the one use for Webmail
Under Outgoing server:
- Host name: Outgoing Server Address e.g send.one.com
- User name: email account
- Password: the one use for Webmail
Tap Next to continue.
Step 8: Select Save to save the account
step 9: Select account that just be added
Step 10: Select your Account again to open settings.
Step 11: At the bottom of screen, click Advanced
Step 12: Checking if the Mailbox behavior are set correctly. These settings determine where email are saved.
- Drafts mailbox: Drafts
- Sent mailbox: Sent
- Deleted mailbox: Trash
- Archive mailbox: Archive
If no folder, or a different one is selected, tap the mailbox and select the correct folder on the server. The name of the folder is in English.
Note: If the folder is not listed, log in to Webmail and place an email in the folder that is not available. Then try again.
Step 13: Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Enter INBOX as IMAP path prefix, all in capitals.
Step 14: Done! Email account is ready to use.
